Green Tea

Every blog, article, video about starting up a new blog basically says "Start with something you like". So I thought about what would be something I love enough to write about and then it hit me ... Green tea!

Firstly, let me say, I used to hate tea and was a regular coffee addict until a couple of months ago whilst out with the girls, I felt left out being the only one with coffee and decided that from then on tea was to become my new thing.

Since then I haven't stopped, I'll admit that only green tea does it for me and especially mint green tea!
Never did I think I could replace my good old cappuccinos with a cup of hot green water and here I am brewing a cup as I write!

So what is green tea?
Well it originates China and is made from the leaves of Camellia Sinensis which is also called the "tea plant". (Yes I have done my homework!)

And since I have started reading up on the benefits of it, I am happy I've started.
All you coffee addicts or even traditionnal english tea drinkers listen up ...

Green tea ...
  • Can reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease
  • Contains antioxydants (everyone's best friend)
  • Does wonders for our skin and helps with signs of ageing
  • Helps reduce blood pressure and helps reduce blood sugar levels
  • Speeds up the metabolism
  • Can reduce the risk of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's
  • Boosts the immune system
  • Relieves stress
How can you now say no to a nice cup of green tea? Try it for yourselves!

Welcome!

So here I am ... finally starting "that" blog, my own little space on the world wide web!

My name is Jessica, I am english and live in a city in France called Dijon (cue mustard jokes!).

I am 21 years old and currently studying psychology at uni.
I live with my boyfriend  in a flat that is too small to have dinner parties in but big enough to take 2hrs to clean!
Apart from studying (which, let's face it isn't that fun) I like to sing, buy high heels, dance like a mad thing, watch cheesy TV, learn random facts, take hot baths and paint my nails.

So there you have it! A little bit about me to get us all started.
